Going to the PAX Convention tomorrow. And I've been reading up on Girl-Wonder.org's Con Anti-Harassment Project, just so I'm prepared.

It should be cool seeing the Wil Weaton panel. My mom reads his blog and has found a lot of cool stuff. She really likes his writing.
Plus, he was Aqualad. Yeah, that's where I know him from.
My older brother is singing Doug background music. Talking about how in the Doug world, they're probably debating over the first green president. "George Bush doesn't care about green people!"
Now I'm looking for some Beets songs.

I find myself in a strange 1984 mood right now. I don't know why. I'm searching "1984" on DA, and some cool stuff is coming up. Now I know I'm not the only one who has written a 1984 fanfic. Which reminds me, I still need to post my Julia story here. And my Anthro paper. Crap.
I think I blame the song "Pet" by A Perfect Circle for my current fandom mood. Yesterday, I was listening to it, and I first thought "Ba Sing Se", which of course led to "Oh my Gods! This song fits 1984 so well!"
I'm actually planning on maybe making a community for a 1984 fandom. If anyone out there is interested. There are a lot of communities on LJ that have philosophical and political discussions relating to Orwell's dystopia, but nothing less serious than that. Because, really, it was shipping Winston and O'Brien that got me through the book. And Julia's potential awesomeness. Of course deep discussion will be allowed, but the aim would be stuff like fanfics, talking about the actual characters, and stuff like that.
So, yeah. If I ever get around to that.
This week is the PAX Convention! Yay!

I just looked up the cable schedule to see if all the new Avatars are set to record (they are) and I was overcome with excitement. I read through all the descriptions and... I so can't wait for the Southern Raiders.
But I don't want Avatar to end D: But at least the network didn't cut them short, Mike and Bryan chose this. That's better than when Teen Titans was cancelled 'cause the new execs "didn't like it". That really sucked.
Then, after I checked the Avatar stuff, a trailer for The Dark Knight came on! I saw that one already, but it just increased my squeegasm.
And I saw Mystery Men last night. Why hadn't I ever watched it before?! That movie is great! I loved Ben Stiller's character's power XD He gets really angry. But I fell asleep just before the end, and I missed the beginning too. I'm sure I'll see it again.
My family's going to the PAX Convention this summer. I've never been, but it should be lots of fun! It's also the same weekend as Bummershoot(sp?) so we might stop by there, too, which is cool. We went to that last year. My dad and I went to see a band called The Fucking Eagles, then we all went to Greg Prupes' show because we love Whose Line and Colin Hay was performing there. This year it looks like Beck, Stone Temple Pilots, AND The Offspring will be there. I'd love to see all those shows, but I'm sure they'll be impossible to get into. It'd be awesome if John DiMaggio is going to sing with Beck XD That was one of my favorite episodes of Futurama.
"That song doesn't usually last three hours, but we got into a serious 'thing'... And then I forgot how it ended."
Sure, I'd LOVE LOVE LOVE go to SDCC again, but I'm lucky to have gone once. And to have met all the people I did. AND to have been INVITED ONTO THE DC PANEL AND SIT BEHIND BILL WILLINGHAM AND PAUL DINI!! I'll talk about that later.
I dreamt that Harley Quinn taught me to dance O.o We hung out together more, but that's the part the stood out.
Dinner, time to go eat.
