Andy Hallett, who starred as Lorne ("the Host") on the TV series Angel, died of heart failure last night at age 33, according to his longtime agent and friend Pat Brady. Rest In Peace, Andy.

So I've gotten to chapter... Twelve, maybe in Twilight, and it's not as totally horrible as I've heard, nor is anything special. My biggest problem with the book so far is Edward Cullen.
He comes off as a cheap-imitation Angel to me. I mean, is Edward/Bella supposed to remind me so much of Wes and Cordy's Production of Buffy: Season 3? But that's not the worst part.
The Port Angeles chapter, when Edward rescues Bella from a bunch of rapists, was when I really started hating Edward. All his "Only YOU could find trouble in Port Angeles HAR HAR" comments pissed me off. And he was saying this crap while telling Bella "I'm waiting for you to go into shock. That's what a healthy person would do." Even though Bella took the trauma extraordinarily well, I still wanted her to tell Edward "Hey, fuck you! I could have been raped today! Are you trying to THROW me into shock?!" Instead, Bella just sat silently, obeying his commands to eat and drink. Ugh.
This actually wasn't the first time I found myself being triggered while reading Twilight. I actually recall feeling my claustrophobia act up when Bella talks about Edward's strength, maybe at a point when he was holding her for whatever reason, or when he was really close to her. Like I could sense that feeling of being held in place by someone strong enough to hurt me, unable to get free.
