Zei ZOMG
Hey. Yesterday?

I caught a frakking Coelacanth in Animal Crossing: Wild World yesterday.

In case you don't know, it's the rarest of the rarest of the rarest of rare fish in all three AC games. AND I FUCKING CAUGHT IT!!!

YES!!!

And in the same day, I upgraded my house to one of the last upgrades. (The back room.)

I'm loving my new graduation laptop. I've been playing a bunch of City of Heroes. Anyone on my flist play? I'm not too social in MMORPGs, but I'd be happy to team up with someone I know!

(The Coelacanth is also a real fish, like all creatures in the game... Except Dr. Shrunk...)

OH HEY LEVERAGE IS FILMING IN PORTLAND NOW AND I LIVE LIKE UBER CLOSE TO PORTLAND AND I WANT TO SEE THEM FILM AND MEET PARKER AND CHRISTIAN KANE AND EVERYONE AND WIL WHEATON IS IN TOWN RIGHT NOW FILMING AN EPISODE OF LEVERAGE AND OMG SQUEEEEEEEE!!!!!

Oh, and yesterday Teen Titans was on T.V. for the first time in ages!! I miss Teen Titans.

A FEW MORE THINGS: My mom is addicted to Y: The Last Man. And Scott Pilgrim rocks. (Guess who has been to the comic book store recently!)

Don't Start With Me (Uhura)
I know this will be like, my third or fourth post on Star Trek in the past few weeks, but I have more coherent thoughts now. Included in this post, n ot in any particular order...

  • Ramblings on both the new movie and The Original Series
  • Reasons why Star Trek > The Dark Knight
  • The possibility of a certain love triangle that I do not want
  • Thoughts on Yeoman Janice Rand in TOS and hopes for the character's future in the franchise
  • Grace Lee Whitney (Janice Rand) and autobiography, The Longest Trek: My Tour of the Galaxy
  • More... (maybe)
SPOILERS for Star Trek and The Dark Knight. Possible sexual assault triggers. )

To end on a lighter note, thanks to TV Tropes I am now 100% in love with the idea of a McCoy/Katara team up.

(Some of these tags might be unnecessary.)

Thoughts on last week's LOST...

Oh Hey Dead Dude! (Hurley & Miles)
First things first, I did the Day of Silence yesterday. I'm really proud of myself for doing it finally, but it was really hard. Harder than I thought. I accidentally said "sorry" once or twice, but hey, that means I'm nice, I think. I also said "ow" when I burned myself with tea. Does that count? I hope not. Communicating solely through notepad is a pain, but I went through PAGES of my dad's notepad throughout the day. XD Reading them out of context is entertaining. And thanks to the notepad, I still participated in class discussions, especially in Mythology. I think I was the only one in Myth and NW Ecology doing it, but plenty of other kids in band and Japanese were silent. My Japanese teacher is also the GSA adviser, so that's not surprising (though he forgot what DOS meant... he thought I meant the old name for Windows XD.) So, yeah, it was awesome. I'm glad I did it, and I hope some people became aware.

Now, as for LOST. I loved Wednesday's episode "Some Like it Hoth." Here's why!
Spoilers )

I'm watching the episode "The Beginning of the End" right now. After watching LOTR, I really wanted to watch it again, so I set it to record. I'm watching it for the Hurley and Ghost!Charlie. Poor Hurley... Which, by the way, I watched some more LOTR today since TNT is showing them all again. I finally know how to pronounce Éowyn!

I need to do some homework now...

Just saw Slumdog Millionaire...

Rest In Peace, Andy.

Holy Shit...

Fierce (Olivia Benson)
I just watched the episode of SVU with Jennette McCurdy (Sam from iCarly), "Contagious", and holy shit... It was intense.

Jennette was absolutely amazing. I cried a few times watching. Also, I keep forgetting how great Stabler is with kids.

That is all.

And You Will See the Devil (Starbuck)
Oh. My. Frakking. GODS!

Battlestar Galactica was soooo amazing last night!!!! Oh man...

I haven't updated in awhile because my computer cord was frakked up. I have a new one now, though.

I pratically have a crush on Mariska Hargitay. She's so amazing. Last year, the last day of school before winter break, I was told by the school officer that there was nothing the police could do to find my attacker--all justice was out of the question--I cried when I got home as I explained it to my mom. I told her "I wish Benson and Stabler were real," and she replied "Yeah, they would fight for you." Then I found out about all the stuff Mariska does for sexual assault survivors. She's a hero, if you ask me.

Marching Band Ramblings and other stuff.

Well Behaved Women (Katara)
First two days of Band Camp have passed, and I am very pleased to report that it was not NEARLY as bad as I expected. It was scorching hot, I got sunburned, and I was wiped by the end of the day, but it's not so bad. Though, the worst part is that the Trumpet Section Leaders have gone from being immature to down right creepy. Like, rather than feeling uncomfortable around them, I feel unsafe being on the same field as them. I plan on talking to the band director about them. Also, thank Goddess for [info]feminist_rage. At least knowing it's there for me to rant about them helps.

Also, I think one of the freshmen clarinet players might have a crush on me. On the way to Dairy Queen for dinner, we met and started talking (I started by making a random comment about either the traffic or the construction on the school, I can't remember,) and he asked if I wanted to sit with him to eat. So we talked (BTW, that Dairy Queen couldn't have picked a better location for business, being right next to a high school) and he asked a couple questions/made a few comments about dating: People say you shouldn't date someone in your own section, and later he asked if I have a boyfriend. The answer to that, of course, was no, and I explained that I don't plan to until at least college because I have too much to focus on. He's sweet and all, but that's the truth. I was pretty uncomfortable with all this, mainly because I have so little experience with stuff like this. The last time someone had a crush on me was last year, also during marching season, and she was already a good friend of mine. That was fairly awkward until she realized that she'd been misinterpreting signals. So, yeah. I've got no idea how to handel situations like these. But I could be wrong about all this.

Oh, before I continue, this icon? Awesome, no? Alec and Tina look like Ninjas :D When I saw it the first thing that popped into my head was "OMG ZUKO AND KATARA NINJA MISSION!" I can't wait for new episodes of 30 Rock. That show is so awesome. But I've got to say, I really don't get the appeal to the Jack/Liz ship. Thankfully, Tina Fey already confirmed that there will never be that sort of attraction between the two. Thanks, Tina! Their relationship right now is too unique to change so drastically. A sort of mentor/mentee, but very reluctant on both ends, yet they both got to each other for support.

Also, on a similar note, a few minutes ago this thought popped into my head:
Katara and Zuko=Woody and Buzz from Toy Story 8D Seriously, no one else see it? Anyone? Come on! I mean, the reasons were different and all, but it seems rather fitting to me.

A short letter...

Silenced (Melinda)
Dear [info]kstewartfans,

Speak > Twilight.

Love,
Me.

On that note, I am giving Twilight a try, JUST because of Kristen Stewart (and that the movie was filmed in Portland. I'm a sucker for anything filmed in Oregon.) I'm going in with a level head. My mom already paid the money for it. I started reading it before I read so many criticisms. I'm still on the first chapter. So far, I've just got one complaint:

Why are all vampires described as being physically perfect and beautiful and sexy? They survive on human blood. Freaking BLOOD. That's it. And they're unDEAD. How could any of that be good for your skin? At the very least they should be average looking.

I just wish more Speak stuff was posted on [info]kstewartfans. Twilight isn't Kristen's only film. She was SO SPECTACULAR in Speak. And she was only 13. Moar iconz plz?
